Rochester is rich in offerings for those interested in taking some time for fun. Festivals can be found almost every month from May through November featuring lilacs to corn to film and jazz. In addition to the beautiful Seneca Park, Rochester is home to several others, including the Durand-Eastman Park, the Ontario Beach Park and the Genesee Riverway Trail.

Sports fans won’t know an off-season with more than five teams to follow. The Blue Cross Arena hosts Amerk’s Hockey of the American Hockey League, and Rochester Knighthawks Lacrosse. Rochester’s minor league baseball team, the Red Wings, and the United Soccer League Rochester Raging Rhinos can be seen at Frontier Field. The National Football League Buffalo Bills visit every summer when they hold their training camp nearby at St. John Fisher College.

Golf enthusiasts can experience the newest public course at Ravenwood Golf Club. Named as the 5th best new public course in the US by golf Digest, Ravenwood features 18 holes of championship golf. It is also the only course in New York offering all carts equipped with Prolink ‘GPS’ satellite service.
